Here are some of the PM News items that have caught my eye over the last week or so.

APM Project Professional Qualification (PPQ) now available online
APM

Association for Project Management (APM) announced that it is has made its Project Professional Qualification (PPQ) available online, along with its other qualifications on the APM Career Path. In addition they have updated two of their core qualifications by aligning them with the APM Body of Knowledge 7th edition. This update brings both the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) and APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) in line with the latest thinking and knowledge from across the profession.

PMI Launches New Basics of Disciplined Agile™ Course for Agile Practitioners

In August 2019 PMI acquired Disciplined Agile to help organisations and individuals holistically navigate agile. They continue to seek to provide a full suite of products, services, training and certifications for project managers, agile leaders, and their teams wherever they are in their careers. Last week they launched their latest online course, Basics of Disciplined Agile™. The eight-module, self-paced online course helps practitioners get started with Disciplined AgileTM practice.

Apple Launches New Hardware

Over the last few weeks Apple has launched a number of new hardware products which are superb for boosting productivity. These include the 2020 iPhone SE, 2020 iPad Pro, and the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro.

Of particular interest is the way that they now have a suite of incredibly great value entry products in each line. The iPhone SE which starts at £419 has a faster processor than any Android phone, the 7th Generation iPad which starts at £349 is as powerful a computer to meet most people's needs, and the MacBook Air which starts at £999 will meet the needs of the vast majority of those left.
